JULIA ECKHOFF / Model / Interview

Interview on Wednesday, July 19th

What's your morning routine like? What are the two things you must have in order to jump start your day?

My morning routine is very simple! I just jump into the shower and afterwards I am pretty much done. Haha.
Two things I cannot live without are one my eyelash curler and a cup of earl grey tea.

How did your career as a model begin - how did you get to where you are now?

My story is actually quite funny. I worked in a fast-food place called Arby’s before I start modeling. One day, a photographer named Devin Brown came into drive thru and asked me after I took his order if I would like to have a test photoshoot with him. Thanks to him I am now where I am. With his pictures I went to NEXT Miami open call and the same day I got my contract. My agents in Miami are awesome and really pushed me. That is why I have the chance to expand my career in New York City.

Your favorite landscape/ scenery and/or city to shoot in?

Unfortunately, I never had the chance to do my dream photoshoot but I hope I will be able to do it soon. It takes place in an old french castle with the beautiful dresses from the 18th century.

We know life as a model consists of moving around a lot and being sent out to other cities by your agency - if you were to choose one city to live in for the rest of your life which would it be and why?

Definitely NYC since the city never gets bored; there is always something to see in the Big Apple.

Absolute best perk(s) of your job?

The best perks of my job is that I get the chance to travel the world while making money!

Your life motto/mantra?

Go for it. No matter how it ends, it was an experience.

Toughest part of your career thus far as a model?

Rejection! It is very common as a model to be rejected.

Where do you see yourself going in the next few years?

I would love to see myself on a Vogue cover!

Favorite Antidote outfit?

My absolute favorite outfit from Antidote consists of the Cienne Chrissie top, Where Mountains Meet Haven wide-leg pants paired with the Studio Susi Emma heels.

Thank you Julia, for taking a moment for us during hectic Paris Fashion Week.
